ITINERARY
DAY 1: ARRIVE NAIROBI, KENYA
Arrive in Nairobi, where you are met and transferred to your luxurious accommodations, located just 10 miles from the bustling city and overlooking the tranquil Ngong Hills.

DAY 2: LEWA WILDLIFE CONSERVANCY | PRIVATE LANDS
Fly by privately chartered air to the secluded Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, a 62,000-acre private game preserve and cattle ranch located on Kenya’s Laikipia Plateau, enjoying flightseeing over Mount Kenya en route (weather permitting). Transfer overland to your lodge, and your comfortable thatched cottage, complete with private veranda.

DAY 3: LEWA WILDLIFE CONSERVANCY | INTO THE WILD
Start your day with a morning bush safari, choosing between an exciting game drive or a guided nature walk. Stop to savor a spectacular breakfast in the wild before returning to your lodge. Later, you may opt to visit the Lewa Conservancy Headquarters, where you meet with anti-poaching rangers and get to know the anti-poaching dogs they work with. Or you may prefer to stroll the Lewa gardens and help pick the fresh ingredients to be used in this evening’s dinner, before returning to your lodge’s kitchen for a cooking demonstration from the chef. And for a more active option, choose a horseback (or camel-back) safari, riding up close to a variety of wild species, such as giraffes, zebras, ostriches and baboons.

DAY 4: MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE | THE VAST MARA
Board your privately chartered flight to the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Revel in the views of the expansive plains and, weather permitting, get an up-close look at the wildlife with some low-level flying by your skilled pilot-guides. Upon landing, settle into your award-winning, luxurious lodge, before immersing yourself in the vast Mara on an afternoon game drive. Among the many species you may encounter are the topi (an antelope found primarily here) as well as hippopotamuses, warthogs, hyenas and an abundance of bird life. During certain times of the year, the annual migration may also be observed. Later, return to your spacious suite complete with a generous tub as well as a private veranda and floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open to reveal magnificent views of the Mara River.

DAYS 5-6: MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE | DESIGN YOUR DAY
Over the next two days, discover the open savanna, woodlands and tree-fringed rivers of the Masai Mara. With help from your expert driver-guide, and a little patience, you may sight a leopard retrieving a kill from the branches of an acacia tree or elephants protecting their young from opportunistic lions. You may also glimpse Maasai tribesmen traversing the plains or herding goats and cattle, pursuing the nomadic existence they have embraced for centuries. On the afternoon of Day 6, enjoy one of these Design Your Day activities.
Share a Farm-to-Table Experience, helping a chef pick vegetables for lunch and enjoying a cooking demonstration.
Visit a School Supported by A&K Philanthropy, and the LifeStraw project, which provides clean, safe drinking water.
Set Out on a Riverside Walking Safari, along the Mara River with a safari guide, viewing the distinctive flora and fauna.
Sometime during your stay in the Mara, you also enjoy an exclusive visit from a local Maasai tribal member who conducts a workshop on bead making, providing you with a deeper understanding of Maasai culture and what their jewelry means. And one morning here, for an added cost, you can opt to glide over the Mara, observing wildlife from treetop level, on an enchanting hot air balloon ride.

DAY 7: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK, TANZANIA | UNTAMED VISTAS
Board your privately chartered flight to Serengeti National Park, via stops at customs in Kenya and Tanzania, taking in the incredible vistas and intimate viewing afforded by low-level flight. Early this afternoon, arrive at your luxurious lodge. After time to settle in, set out on a game drive across the famed 10,000-square-mile Serengeti, which provides habitat to almost every African animal imaginable, and also plays host to the Great Migration for a portion of each year.

DAYS 8-9: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK | ON THE PLAINS
Enjoy another two days of morning and afternoon game drives through the vast Tanzanian landscape, observing the timeless circle of life on the Serengeti. Your explorations may reveal giraffes, wildebeests, elephants and far more. One morning, opt for a hot air balloon ride, at an additional cost, for a lighter-than- air excursion across the boundless plains.

DAY 10: NGORONGORO CRATER | TREETOP VIEWS
Fly by private charter to Manyara to see how Africans live today, exploring in and around the village of Mto wa Mbu by tuk-tuk. View nearby rice fields and a banana plantation, and try banana beer at a local bar. Back in the village, walk through the local market to see the colorful produce on display. After lunch in Mto wa Mbu, continue to Lake Manyara for a treetop canopy tour. Stroll through ancient forests over a series of suspension bridges, flanked with thick netting for safety, and stop at viewing decks supported by tree trunks for a magnificent bird’s-eye view of the forest. You may spot elephants on the forest floor or monkeys playing tag with one another on the bridges. Then, proceed to Ngorongoro Crater and your luxurious accommodations, set on the edge of the crater’s rim.

DAY 11: NGORONGORO CRATER | A TEEMING LOST WORLD
Descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive, exploring the panoramic, short-grass prairies along the floor of this ancient volcanic caldera. Home to rare black rhinos as well as lions, hyenas and gazelles, this incredible “Lost World” is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterward, return to your lodge to relax at leisure. Tonight, gather for a special farewell dinner.

DAY 12: DEPART NAIROBI, KENYA
